Ways to work together

Three product consulting formats, depending on how big the problem is and how much of me you need.

One conversation

Advisory call

One focused session on a single decision: a roadmap tradeoff, a launch plan, a hire. You leave with a recommendation and written notes.

2–6 weeks

Scoped project

A defined piece of work with a clear end: a roadmap review, a product strategy, an AI feature taken from idea to spec. The deliverables are agreed up front.

Part-time, month to month

Fractional product lead

A set number of days each week inside your team, running product alongside your engineers and designers for a few months at a time.

Every engagement is scoped and priced after an intro call.

How it works

  1. Tell me what’s going on

Send me an email with a few lines on the company, the product, and what’s stuck.

  2. We talk

A 30-minute intro call to understand the problem and see whether I’m the right person for it. If I’m not, I’ll tell you.

  3. I send a scope

One page covering the problem, what I’ll deliver, the timeline, and the price.

  4. We get to work

I work directly with you and your team, and everything I produce is yours to keep using after I’m gone.

Common questions

What does a product consultant do?

A product consultant is an experienced product manager you bring in for a specific problem and a limited time. That might be deciding what to build, shaping a product strategy, launching a feature your team hasn’t built before, or running product until you hire someone full-time.

Who do you work with?

Founders and product leaders at startups and growing companies, in any industry. I’m especially useful when machine learning or AI is part of the product, because I’ve deployed models to production myself.

Do you advise, or do the work?

Both. An advisory call is advice. On a project or a fractional engagement I write the strategy, run the customer calls, and work in the backlog with your team.

When are you not the right fit?

If you need someone to own a core product area for years, you need a full-time hire. I can help you define that role and run the search.

Tell me what you’re building.

Send a few lines on where the product is and what’s stuck, and we’ll find a time to talk.
